Ambrosia, or wormy Maple flooring is very unusual and is hard to come by. The wormholes are caused by the Ambrosia Beetle. When the worm creates a whole and oxygen enters it creates a dark flag streak in the lumber. Tidewater selects through a lot of lumber to include the "super wormy" for a unique look. Try this product instead of reclaimed and save some money. Wormy Maple is available in 3", 4", 5", and 6" widths. The lengths are 18" up to 12'.
